We’re buying a beer for… Ben Olsen

Yesterday, you retired from professional soccer after 12 seasons at Major League Soccer’s D.C. United. During your dozen years at the club, you were one of the sport’s truly good guys and won the Humanitarian of the Year award in 2003. You weren’t too shabby as a player, either, winning the 1998 Rookie of the Year and representing the United States at the 2000 Olympics and the 2006 World Cup.
You leave a lasting legacy at United, currently sittings in second place in regular season games played and starts, third in assists, and seventh in goals scored. And first in beers given to by a Web site.

I can’t think of a more deserving guy. Ben is a class act all around - Always left everything on the field and did everything that he could for the folks that he could help off the field. I wish him all the best and thanks for minutes!
