Tonight is your first night hosting “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” replacing Conan O’Brien in the 12:35 a.m. time slot as the floppy-haired one prepares to take over for Jay Leno.
We can’t say we love the idea — you’re kind of annoying, to be honest, and don’t get us started on “Fever Pitch” — but we wish you the best of luck. It’s a tough job and someone has to do it. Succeed, and the world is yours. Fail, and, well, no one is watching anyway.
For now, relax with a beer on us. We have a feeling that before it’s all over you’re going to need a couple more.
